Barnelli`s Pasta Bowl in Vernon Hills

Ordered my food thru drive thru. Tipped the order taker more then 50% of my order total. Order was wrong. Called the store and he confirmed what I asked for was on the receipt but still order wasn't what I got. I asked for onions on my sandwich which wasn't on it. Asked for a side of ranch which wasn't there either. Guy on the phone didn't want to do anything about it. Great service. First and last time. Only thing right was the frozen fries they serve which aren't even worth it.

I just drove through for a hot dog and drink. The line ran smoothly and efficiently. The hot dog was piping hot and prepared just as I ordered it. Love this place!

Portillo's has figured out the art of restaurant drive through service. No one does it better. And, the dogs are the best.

The customer service is consistently rapid, awesome atmosphere, very nice employees. Will visit here again when I arrive nearby.

Great location with friendly staff and fast service. Restaurant is very clean. Be sure to order cheese with your fries and get a cake shake if you've never had one before. When they have lemon cake availabke it is to die for. Ask for your sandwich dipped!

Portillo’s is Chicago and Chicago is Portillo’s this place second to none when it’s comes to Chicago style Hot-Dogs, Italian beefs, and Maxwells style polishes.

Always good food, except if they could find a way to keep the chicken sandwich from sliding apart, that would be great.

Tried the chicken Caprese Panini and was blown away. It was served on a tomato basil infused foccacia with grilled chicken, tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella, and pesto. The flavors all cam together so well and the taste was truly extraordinary.

Can't go wrong with a dog, but the burgers are good too. I'm positive their cheese sauce has crack in it...because I don't really even eat cheese fries, but I can't stop eating theirs. What really does it for me, however, is the staff. Very friendly.and accommodating. That's why five stars over four.

Mediocre at best. Tried both Hotdogs; the Portillo special, all the way AND the chili cheese. Falls short compared to a slaw dog or a chili cheese dog from the Varsity in Atlanta. Tried both the fries and the onion rings, too. Again, no comparison to the fresh cut fries and onion rings served at the Varsity in Atlanta. Only giving 3 stars because of the really cool decor.

Kind staff, quick, cheap, and quality food

Super love this place! Lots of sandwich choices. My ultimate favorites are their Jumbo Hot Dog (with everything on it of course!) and their Italian Beef Sandwich (OH MY GOSH, this is legit! The bread is literally soaked with the amazing beef juice). Make sure to add hot peppers to your Italian Beef Sandwich if you love all things spicy too.Also, their prices are just right, sometimes even cheaper than other hot dog places offering less servings.

Dang it Joshua, why have you forsaken me?! This experience has made me very sad. Joshua just gave me the worst experience and made me VERY MAD WHILE EATING. WHY DOES YOUR FOOD HAVE TO BE SO SCRUMPTIOUS AND DELICIOUS? It makes me want to come back for more, which is DANGEROUS! But if I get Joshua again, I will leave and go through the drive thru on MY FEET! Be blessed, but not you Joshua!

I have eaten here before, so I'm not sure what I was expecting this time. There seems to be a big problem with capturing all of the items ordered and being accurate about it. So, when I request cheese fries, I shouldn't have to ask for cheese after you hand me my order?. If I order a chili cheese dog with no onions, I should NOT find onions on my hot dog after I left your restaurant.

Great beef sandwiches and hot dogs. The chicken Caeser salad is excellent. Don't forget the fries and a slice of chocolate cake. It's also nice to see a diverse group of employees.

Portillos in Vernon Hills is a staple for the area. Salads, burgers, hot dogs and even wraps and paninis are all delicious. The food comes out quick and their drive through is open late. Catering is also consistently well done. If you are feeling a quick bite that is far better than fast food but not quite a sit down restaurant this place has many great options. You can get a good meal for 7-8$

The ordering online experience, is easy and efficient. Better interface than most. And the on-site staff that handle pick-up orders are cheerful, courteous and helpful.

This place is always busy but surprisingly fast! My faves here are the cheese fries, chocolate cake, chopped salad, Italian beef and polish! You can't go wrong at Portillos!

I’m appalled. Ordered a cheeseburger & fries from the drive thru and it was all COLD. The burger was not cooked and so cold that the cheese didn’t even melt.

I take my family to this great restaurant from time to time! This is the best place to grab a bite. I visit this place frequently. The cooking is very tasty, the staff members are friendly and the payment is affordable. I enjoy meeting in this spot for a rich dinner.

Had it for the first time today. Super yummy! Had the original polish. Ordered cheese dipping sauce. But they forgot it...

I've been coming here since I was a child and I've always loved their food. I always get the burgers because they are so juicy and delicious. At the same time you wait a very reasonable amount of time to get your food, depending on what you ordered. Mean while the interior of this place is amazing!!! If you're not already distracted on your phone, the amount of pictures, details, and manikins will distract you enough.

Food is good but takes forever to come out. The lady screaming out numbers needs to learn how to use a microphone. If u order salad and sandwich u have to go to two counters to get food. They dont give u your drink till food is ready.

Portillo's is great. The expo handing the food out (there was a lot of food going out) wasn't the greatest. The manager came over to help her for about 2 minutes. This is a very busy location and the expo needed more help. She seemed overwhelmed (not to her talents...just due to the volume) There should either be another expo or the manager should have helped more. Food was great.

Personally the beefs and hotdogs are not the best compared to other places I know of. But the atmosphere is cool. Their chicken fingers are really good. And the pasta is not that bad. Not my first pick. But it's not bad. The hype for this is not worth it by far.

Came here in January 2020 and it was awesome! Very classic, like the Northlake location, but much bigger than Northlake’s. Too bad I live down in Melrose Park tho...(Lemon Cake rules!!!)

WARNING! The Google Map directions are a little squirrelly, go to the Target Parking Lot. Not a lot of signs so I'd look more for Target. That said, Fantastic Food! 5 Stars!

These people get the order wrong EVERY TIME. How is it possible not to get the order right just once? Yesterday my friend and I ordered two sandwiches with extra mayo, and they gave us two sandwiches with NO mayo. So we had to eat dry af sandwiches. This is like the fifth time in a row this specific location gets the order wrong. Can you get it right at least just once?

Ordered Big beef - got a standard size. Added peppers to my order - didnt get any peppers. Really sloppy service. Poor quality control.
